I am sorry . I have confused every one. I have 2 treasures today. My son is an extra!!!!!!!
Today is my youngest son's birthday. Happy Birthday Caleb. He is our 6th child , 4th boy. In 1996 we thought our family was complete . My 2nd boy, 3rd child ,died in Nov, that year and then Caleb was born 9 mths later. How funny. I know mothers do not have favourites, but he is everyones special boy because of the timing of his birth and he brings Joy to so many people that he comes into contact with. Here he is with his little nephew.
Tuesday's Treasures.
I know Daffodils usually tell us Spring is on its way but for me it is something more significant. It reminds me of what I have to be thankful for.Another year in our house. When my DH became a Church Pastor 20 years ago, we sold our house to provide us with an income, and believed we would never own our own house again. These daffodils remind us that we have owned our present house for 9 years. We are so thankful that The Lord provided all that we needed. Each year as the daffodils come through reminds us of our moving in day.

Clare's special Tuesday. you can see my special Treasures today are a part of my life. The watch is a special nurse watch and it was given to me by my neighbours as I prepared to leave my home town and go to the "big smoke"..Canberra. It has their names engraved on the back .I was at the Canberra Craft fair last year and I saw this lady smiling at me and then she said"are you..?" I then realised it was one of them. According to my daughter there was screaming and shouting . I had not seen her for about 15 years . The other is my nurses badge that I received when I graduated. Even more special now as the building is no longer there. Seems like only the other day that I was just a young girl starting out in life.

Tuesday's treasures I belong to a forum with like minded ladies who enjoy all types of craft. Last year I joined a 12 mth swap where we each did some embroidery on one anothers cloth. I believe I was the lucky one because the girls who added to mine showed some beautiful work. this is a treasure to me because it is the first "big" swap and also because it is so lovely. I now have to work out what I am going to do with it!!

Tuesday's Treasures. this has been such an enjoyable time. on Tuesday's when I have my latest treasure ,darling grandson with me I also get to ponder things and people that have been important in my life. today I want to show you 2 brooches that are treasures. The top brooch I wore for my wedding(something old) It is from my great grandma . It is made up of 4 1895 sixpences.put on a barrette. My granny ,as such lived behind us and I absolutely adored her and my grandfather. the bottom picture is the baby brooch of my hubby's grandma. She gave it to my daughter as she was the first girl in the family for a couple of generations. I understand this baby brooch to be at least 120 yrs old. Thank you Clare for starting this.
