I have been making a bag for a swap over on the forum. I wanted to add a crocheted flower and followed directions from a "website" on crochet. It looked like a blob,,then I realised the directions call for a dc --but I (australians )call them trbles. I am so happy with it now. Will put up a picture when my swappee opens her parcel. Our boys love to watch the flyovers so off we went on ANZAC day. It is such a special day and we had an enjoyable time. Easter and Anzac Days, together, was very special . We were able to remember Men who had died for our freedoms,now and hereafter.

this is the hexi that was causing me a problem. I "fussy cut "the roses and then decided INVISIBLE thread was the best way to go. My partner over on the forum appears to be happy with it.

I have finally got something done for FNSI .had a hard day's work and found out I needed to do an extra day Saturday , plus Youth group - I was not up to "dodge "ball, I wanted to get home and do something. I basted 8 hexis and finally was able to get a dishcloth done. I have been looking for a special stitch( Basket weave.) that I was shown about 6 yrs ago but quickly forgot and then found it blog hopping. Now to get a photo up.Not much but anything for me at the moment is a plus.

Why OH Why do I do this to myself. I am really happy with the hexi I have done for this month(will post a picture when my partner gets hers),but I decided to use invisible thread. Have also spent the morning blog hopping for a tutorial on making hexis where they use paper clips. I cannot find it. No I did not save it or bookmark it.

I have completed the "baby Bunting" block for our forum monthly BOM. The plan is to make it in dh's footy colors and then he has his own supporters' quilt. We will see. have to make some changes to my OPAM. I have completed something.The mug wrap nd coaster I received fromJorja on the craft forum. It had to b insect related. She has very cleverly made a set in blue-white and yellow reversible dragon fly material with some dragon fly buttons. They are lovely. Of course I did not take a photo of what I sent to her.

well here we are into April and nothing much to show.I have done some blocks to keep up with the BOM's from our Craft forum but that is all. I apologise to the SIF girls as I had such big plans. but..today is the first day so off I go to get some "stuff"attended to.

So much for New Year's resolutions. I was going to do some sort of sewing each day,or something constructive and blog about it...but. My dh and I celebrated 33 years of marriage recently. In todays time this is rare. We had a lovely night out at a Turkish Restaurant. We still have our little gs with us for 4 days a week and enjoy every moment of it . It will stop soon as DIL is due in May. Something else exciting has happened . Yes , 18yo has his P's and started Uni. An exciting time for all. I only have 1 at home now and he can work independently so soon I will be working over a hot machine. I have also finally learnt how to add a list to my blog so I can attend to that hortly. Take care.
