Clare's special Tuesday. you can see my special Treasures today are a part of my life. The watch is a special nurse watch and it was given to me by my neighbours as I prepared to leave my home town and go to the "big smoke"..Canberra. It has their names engraved on the back .I was at the Canberra Craft fair last year and I saw this lady smiling at me and then she said"are you..?" I then realised it was one of them. According to my daughter there was screaming and shouting . I had not seen her for about 15 years . The other is my nurses badge that I received when I graduated. Even more special now as the building is no longer there. Seems like only the other day that I was just a young girl starting out in life.

Tuesday's treasures I belong to a forum with like minded ladies who enjoy all types of craft. Last year I joined a 12 mth swap where we each did some embroidery on one anothers cloth. I believe I was the lucky one because the girls who added to mine showed some beautiful work. this is a treasure to me because it is the first "big" swap and also because it is so lovely. I now have to work out what I am going to do with it!!

Tuesday's Treasures. this has been such an enjoyable time. on Tuesday's when I have my latest treasure ,darling grandson with me I also get to ponder things and people that have been important in my life. today I want to show you 2 brooches that are treasures. The top brooch I wore for my wedding(something old) It is from my great grandma . It is made up of 4 1895 sixpences.put on a barrette. My granny ,as such lived behind us and I absolutely adored her and my grandfather. the bottom picture is the baby brooch of my hubby's grandma. She gave it to my daughter as she was the first girl in the family for a couple of generations. I understand this baby brooch to be at least 120 yrs old. Thank you Clare for starting this.

Treasure Tuesday That time again. My Dh and I sneak out to breakfast once a week and this is our wonderful place where we can go to and enjoy coffee and the view. .To some this maynot be thought of as much, but my man is a Pastor, and a small home business owner as well ,so his time is precious.!!! I really appreciate the time and isn't this a treasure of a view?????

Daddy's little helper.

My little grandson loves having his dad (my ds) home. Ds was home schooled and when he finished his schooling he applied to one of the "elite"unis here. he was refused entry as they said his curriculum was not of a high standard. The funny thing is : 2 degrees later from a diffrent uni and my son is lecturing at the "elite" uni. Yes I am a proud mum.

Treasure Tuesday- From my friend Clare. these are special spoons that I received for an engagement present..A very funny story-unfortunately the picture is the best I could do. my dh 's grandma gave us thes when we were engaged in 1976. She told us they were very special as they are actuallyy marked SIAM(the original name of Thailand). We happen to show my in-laws a bit later and they could not stop laughing. They had brought the spoons back as a present to Grandma when they were in the Air force earlier. It is a very fond and loving memory of Grandma.
